John doesn't want to see Sherlock when he finds out he had faked his death. Despite some efforts to do as his blogger wishes, Sherlock finds himself accidentally intertwining himself in his blogger's life again when he is sent on a case that crosses their paths together and hits closer to home than first thought.
(In this parallel universe, Mary and John do not exist. I do not own any of these characters in the story unless said otherwise. This is based upon the BBC series 'Sherlock' and is an AU of it after the Reichenbach fall. )
Like basically all of my stories there are going to be things that are triggering such as self-harm, murder, references to suicide, drugs etc so if you are not comfortable reading this please read a happier story :P This might contain spoilers.

He was looking at Sherlock Holmes. Yet not the one he would have expected. Distinctive changeable eyes, lined by a row of long dense lashes, showed an expression of a wild animal standing in the glare of approaching headlights. Of a man driven into a corner. Simply expressed, an expression of pure horror, something you don't see on a famous consulting detective most of the time. John opened his mouth, but after a realisation that he has no idea of what he wanted to say, he closed it again. He wasn't welcomed by a mutilated, smashed face. The severed spine could be ruled out straight away, and he seemed to have all his limbs as well. He felt an endless relief when he saw solid, uninjured skin where the blood flowed the last time. Nevertheless, the scene he was offered tugged the carpet under his feet and he had to admit (if a bit grudgingly) that Mycroft was right-he did not exaggerate when warning him it might be a shock. Trigger warnings: This story contains references to violence and its description, and also deals with self-esteem issues and body image. Do You Want To Know A Secret?
An interesting twist on the Sherlock universe-Sherlock is a girl. John, however, doesn't know this. Neither does Mrs. Hudson, or anyone else besides his direct family. This takes place sometime after series 2 or 3, with Mary only dating John. It will eventually contain a bit of Johnlock, with the usual tension and what-not throughout the whole story. But this isn't necessarily just a Johnlock story. There'll be other ships somewhat approached, but overall, it's more of a thriller (or at least, I'm trying to have it be). TRIGGER WARNINGS: surgery, depression, drug use John and Sherlock start to drift away from each other as Rosie grows older and John grows more protective. After one too many incidents, Sherlock ends up in the hospital and John makes him swear to leave Rosie alone, thinking that she gets her deductive skills from him. He struggles to rebuild his relationship with his daughter and discovers how much Sherlock means to her. Meanwhile, Sherlock is alone on the streets again and realizing just how deep his love for them ran. This is intended to be a novel-length work.
