Jessica's life has consisted of pursuing the wealthy white men her father chose for her. Sick of being told what to do, she disguises herself as a man and runs after the love of her life to fight in the rebellion. Upon returning, she discovers that the murder of her mother took place in their home while she was away. Now everyone's a suspect. But what they didn't expect is that the murderer was an "Angel."
