Battling her morals, she must decide how to approach the corruption in Gotham while dealing with her PTSD from her childhood trauma. At 12 years old, Carmilla found her family being murdered after returning home from the movies. She then spent her time in foster care with a family that was a little unusual... When Dr. Crane offers her the opportunity to cure her fears with a toxin designed especially for it, she finds it a little too good to be true. However, she's enticed by this. Not to mention, there's a whole world of psychology waiting to be broken into, and Carmilla can't wait to know more. When Dr. Crane approaches her with a solution to her PTSD using fear toxin, how will she react? Will she make ethical decisions or turn to the dark side and relish in the science of fear? Where will her journey take her after learning that the man she looks up to works for a bigger name?

This is my own personal version of how our lovable Dr. Harleen Quinzel fell in love with the psychopathic clown known as The Joker. This will be a dark story. I mean, it is about Joker and his story isn't a pretty one. There will be dark, mature themes in this book. It is not for the faint of heart. That being said, if you are not comfortable with this, then skip those parts. I will have them marked, and I will leave subtle hint, so you get the basic gist of what happened. I do not own any of these characters or the various original stories!! I just made my own remake of it. All rights go to the DC Universe and the creators of these awesome people. Thank you for trying out this story. I'm sorry if the parts that are from Joker's POV are terrible, but I tried to get as close to his twisted personality as possible. It isn't exactly easy to predict what the most unpredictable character ever made would say and do. I mostly went off of the movie scenes for his character. Please be nice to each other, and no rude comments. I may have a few spelling errors, so if you let me know, I will try to get to them.
