After Dark

"Take your clothes off, " he orders me. As he stands in front of me, I don't know how to react to his instruction. Should I do it or should I say no and have him possibly kill me for not following his instructions.

I start by removing my hoodie over my head and as I slowly move my hoodie down my arms I see him scan the marks on my arms. The straps of the top I have on are thin and it only covers my bra strap just right. Next, I removed my pants and step out of the pants as it lays on the floor, then my top. Just to have me standing in my underwear and ugly scares that I got from my father.

He starts circling me like I'm his prey and he is just waiting for the right moment to attack. Once he reaches my back he stops and I feel him run his fingertips down my spine, tracing over the tattoo I have on my back.

When he was face to face again, he stares into my eyes. His eyes trailed down to my neck, he moves my hair over my shoulder to get a better view of my neck. Taking my jaw into his hands, touching my face so gently, afraid that he might hurt my already broken body. He gently tilts my head to the side. With my head to the side, he traces over the spot where my father strangled me about a few hours ago. Just think about the incident, it brings up emotions that I never wanted to feel. I feel the tears pricking my eyes, but I can't. I can't and would not show any weakness in front of this monster.
