Creeper

"I should be following the trail, I know that, I'm pretty much an expert after all, but after hearing, what sounded like a deer, I teetered off. Tripping over sticks and rocks, is what really told me I shouldn't be doing this, I had already fallen and scraped my knee once, I don't want to do it again, but I've only seen 3 deer in my entire time of hiking and I'll take any chance to see the beautiful creature a fourth."

so i wrote this in about two hours for a young writers conference so its probably not the best short story you've read but why not give it a try?
