Lizzie Maine was supposed to be successful. She was well on her way, too--she had a job at the newspaper and her entire college career planned out. The future was bright. But then she broke her nightlight, and her editor told her he was scrapping her article, and the future dimmed just a little bit.
And then it went black, and the only flicker of light she can see now hovers around a blond-haired, blue-eyed, freckle-faced baseball player who, for some reason, has his eye on her.

The busy noises of the street and the honking of the traffic fade as I lose focus, nothing strong enough to force my attention away from this boy. Finally, Archer loudly clears his throat as he flings his door open and plops into the car with a huff, breaking the trance between the two of us. I look away as I withdraw my hand from his grasp, trying to figure out what the hell just happened. This is going to be a long 6 months. ●●● Kaiydeen has always known what she wanted, more like who, but she never knew exactly how to get it. So she's complacent with biding her time until it, actually he, comes to her; no matter how long that takes. But then one day she crashes into someone she doesn't expect. Someone that has always had an eye for her, and he isn't satisfied with biding his time until she's his. But when the one person she's always wanted admits he wants her, too, she's forced to make a choice. Should she go for the boy she just met or the boy she's always known? There is some use of mature language in this story, so if your eyes are innocent and you want them to stay that way this might not be the story for you.
