As for the dark sides, they were represented to be the evil ones, aiming to hurt Thomas. Remus, as Another version of his creativity, Deceit as, well, Deceit, And a more hidden side, known to be the worst, but also never directly mentioned. Virgil, Thomas' Anxiety, was in fact once a dark side, Though he eventually grew into one of the light sides. As time passes, the dark sides come closer and closer to the light sides, and Virgil. Now, they're as close as they can get, and ready to attack.
