The Lives We Lost

Nia and her parents will soon return to Malaysia after three years of living abroad in London. But being in the wrong place at the wrong time gets her shot and the whole family must be placed under a witness protection program. They move further away from London to live in a secluded location with renewed identities. But years later Nia is far from recovered and tired of being constantly watched begins to rebel and causes trouble. Desperate for Nia to come to her senses and lead a better life closer to her roots her parents decide to return to Malaysia but only send Nia back home first. Accompanied by her bodyguard, Dee, they relocate her for the second time to the island of Langkawi where she embarks on a new life in a boarding school. Thus begins another life of more secrets and lies. Then she meets Mika and life has never been better. But when it seems that she's ready to put everything behind the past comes back to haunt her. A cruel twist of fate eventually forces them to part and only years later can Nia finally lead a life free from the shackles of her past.

Hello and welcome to my page and my first story!
This is my first time ever writing a novel and at first the thought of putting it up on Wattpad was quite terrifying. Took me about a year after I wrote it to finally take courage and here we are. This story has 20 chapters altogether and before it came to online shores it has been read by a handful of people.. so, I'd really love to share the love one of my readers shared with me about this story with everyone here.
