"It seemed to be a fact of their nature at this point. Grantaire was snide. Enjolras was angry. Joly was worried. And it seemed that everyone was always shouting. But it was comfortable and familiar, and felt almost like a strange sort of home." In which, Grantaire develops Tuberculosis and must come to terms with what he hasn't been able to face and has been eating away at him for so long. Time is no longer on his side, and there is so much left to be said. I'm not great with descriptions, but if you're looking for something with a literary vibe and a side of rose-tinted tragedy, you've come to the right place.

Grantaire makes a drunken advance, Enjolras scorns him but discovers something about himself in the process. Despite this, they continue forward. Hurt/Comfort ensues as Enjolras works through his past all while still pledging himself to the Revolution. Grantaire grapples with feelings of his own. Furthermore, how would that balmy June night at the barricade ended differently if Enjolras had something to live for and Grantaire were permited to do more than die by him?
