"Tune in to my exploration of the corrupted company known as Sahara Therapeutics, and how this organisation not only stole the lives of many, but reanimated ones that shouldn't have needed to be such. Coming soon to this channel."
"Wow, you really have gone all out on this one, haven't you?" Doran spoke, after an advert for my TV show had aired.
"Not really. I found Timothy Leblanc's story too interesting to leave. Plus," I paused slightly, "Sahara had always been on the verge of being exposed by at least someone else. If no one else was going to do it, why not me?"
"Fair enough." He replied. "You didn't find anything... else, right?"
"Doran." I turned my head to look at the man. "I know you were involved. Don't worry, your job will be safe until it airs."

A telling of the story of "The Forest", a survival horror game by Endnight Games LTD. I do not own any characters or story in this work, this is merely a theatrical telling of the story for those that find fact compilations a bit difficult to understand, or just want to read it like a novel. Not all of this will be exact towards the game (for example the reasoning of Eric and Timmy travelling isn't clarified and is imagined for story purposes), but I have tried to keep as close as possible. Furthermore, due to the multiple possible endings in the game, there will be different parts for each ending. If I get anything wrong, please feel free to message, email or comment so that I can work towards improvement. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy!
Antique store owner Liz brings home a Victorian taxidermy hound from auction, unwittingly unleashing dark forces on her wife and son.
*****
Nat Loman has finally married the love of her life, Liz, and is getting used to her role as stepmother to Liz's 5-year-old son, Liam. The Loman family runs a bustling antique business so they attend a sale where a striking, black taxidermied hound is up for auction. Liz picks it up for the business, but it ends up being stored in their home, where Nat notices strange things occurring. She quickly discovers the past residents had died violently. Then she hears from a friend about the myth of "the devil's dog", a hound that perches in the shadows, tearing families apart from the inside. Soon, people around the Lomans are dying, and Liz is changing, darkening. It's up to Nat to save the woman she loves from the darkness closing in, and to save Liam from danger no matter what she has to sacrifice.
