Every country has had its golden age, when that is depends on who you ask. What if those had all happened at the same time... under one leader?
Susan's village has enjoyed being ignored by the Empire other than the taxes they pay every month, but when Germany becomes part of an Emorian competition, Susan and her brother's friend Tretan are chosen to represent their province. 
For Susan who has grown up hunting (illegally) the competition is easy at first, and if she wins she will be able to go home and not pay taxes. But over the course of the challenges she sees the extent Empire's depravity for the first time. Can the Emperor be trusted to let her go home? It's 2500 and the world is still suffering from the disastrous effects of World War 3. Plague, the result of the recent biochemical war, sweeps across Eurasia, leaving millions dead in its wake. Even the best scientists in Europe are powerless against it. The main reason for the general misery is this. Europe is now under the tyrannical rule of the Democratic Republic of America, and this has wreaked havoc upon the streets of Europe. Poverty, starvation and disease now fill even the greatest of Europe's cities. They hold a cautious peace treaty with the Oceanic Union, but of course, this doesn't come without a price. However, for Europe at least, there is a glimmer of hope. For the growing resistance has finally managed to recruit the greatest criminals of the 26th century to spark the beginning of the greatest rebellion in human history. Unfortunately for them, the 'greatest criminals of the 26th century' are teenagers. And even in this day and age, teenagers still bring their insecurities and petty rivalries with them, wherever they go. So, this is the question: can this team of misfit criminals bring a golden age of peace? Or will they set the world on fire for the fourth time?

This is a Countryhumans story about Germany and Russia. Warning: This is a slow burn. Germany is an excited and hardworking person who miraculously was accepted to one of the most prestigious universities. His foster father urges him to go to a field that is in Germany's opinion, dull and boring, as he has his own opinion on what is interesting to him. As always, there are ups and downs, but he is giddy with freedom and doesn't let anyone faze him. He expects the year to be dull but needed for his life. Both of them don't expect to become friends, and avoid eye contact. In the ages of the samurai, an Empire uses its samurai to ensure their secure rule. The only threat to the Empire was the demons. Pureblood Demons, having the ability to transform and alter their appearance into beasts with powers which echoed the gods, where hunted down and killed by the samurai clans upon the Emperor's orders. The Purebloods were thought to be wiped out and only the lesser demons remained, unknown to the Emperor some had survived. Confident he had complete power, the Emperor issued an order to control the women in his Empire. He produced a drug and collected the women when they are infants to put the drug inside of them, which allowed the Empire to know their location and control childbirth. Every girl born is turned over to the Emperor; any family denying this was met with death. This story begins with a small family in the village of Irailia, northeast from the capital of the Empire. Desperate to keep their new daughter safe, the parents hide her in an underground basement, cut off from the rest of the world. When fate throws this girl out into world, she undertakes a journey and discovers everything she knew was a lie. As she sets out to do battle against the Empire, she soon learns not everything is what it seems to be.

He'd learned a lot in it. That England was easy to gaslight if you knew what you were doing. France would back away from any show of force.
