It's the 74th annual Hunger Games. Katniss's name is in the reaping ball 20 times, so she prepares herself for the worst. Only something worse happens. Prim gets reaped. Katniss is frozen while Effie Trinket also pulls out Peeta's name. But then something unexpected happens. Gale volunteers for Peeta. To protect Prim, of course. Will Katniss receive some sympathy now that there's a big chance that the two people she loves the most both will die soon? And if so from who?
