She is not blind, but she sees only blackness. Her universe is a place she has only ever imagined. Calendre has never seen anything but a world of shadow. Since the moment she was born her eyes have been covered and kept that way by her own family. Why? She doesn’t know. They won’t tell her. No one will tell her. She has lived her seventeen years of life locked away in a mansion, getting private tutoring and receiving care from doctors that do house calls. She never leaves the estate grounds. She only ever comes into contact with her family or family friends and even then she is secluded from them. When someone breaks into the mansion and takes Calendre as part of the ‘goods’ she’s thrown into a world she has no concept of. Learning just how cruel this new world can be she is faced with killers, rapists, the slave trade business and a new part of herself she never knew she contained. Add a man named Samael, that rescues her from her captors only to imprison her himself referring to her as “meus amor aeternus” and later wakes up the next day claiming his name is Jason and he has no clue who she is, to the mix and Calendre can never regain the simplicity of life she once knew. Bloodlines. Traditions. Fate and mates. The secret of the Laqueum family is finally revealed.

The Quarter is quiet. Marcellus controls the vampires. The wolves live like outcasts in the Bayou. The Witches have a rocky peace with the vampires. The Mikaelsons raise Hope in their family home. All is peaceful, quiet despite the minor disputes. However the newest Scottish visitors have a long history that they plan on bringing to town. --- "They don't like the idea of new vampires in New Orleans." He reports shamefully, holding his head downwards. The butler seemed as though fearing for his life. I hold the lavender ball gown up to my chest, looking at myself in the floor length mirror. "On the contrary, dear Joseph," I pause, listening as my sweet Scottish accented voice floats around the room in tranquility. I turn to him, my ice eyes resting on him. "We are very, very old vampires." I drop the dress, and the butler looks up in fear. My movements are as fast as a striking snake, tearing out his throat in such a swift movement there's barely any mess. I look into his eyes as he raises his hands to his neck, falling to the ground in a light thump. I walk back and pick up the lavender dress, admiring my smiling reflection in the mirror as the tragically human butler bleeds out onto the expensive Russian rug. --- Some plot lines and moments of the Originals has been altered for this story. Camille is human (alive). Marcel is not a super vamp. However, Hope is seven years old. I only own the events and Characters I design, the rest all belong to the CW and the wonderful writers. Edit:: The Title has been changed from Casket Crowns to Her Majesty The reasoning is that the characters designed in this story are being used in a series of novels that will NOT be fan fictions. If you're interested in Merida and her brothers furthermore, stay tuned for the actual Fiction/Fantasy book I'll publish on my profile. August 10, 2020 UPDATE: This story is old, I started it several years ago and therefore has many flaws. Read at your own risk.
