A young wolf, Koworu, experiences life in the pack. When danger spreads across BloodPack, the alpha, Alerick, tells Koworu to leave and travel for days to join Flamepack. Koworu and his brothers and sisters had set foot on their territory and asked to join. Flameclaw, the alpha of Flamepack, allows them to stay, but life as a wolf without a real father and mother is hard. As Koworu grows, he becomes the Beta, then the Alpha. Flameclaw is murdered.
