It's been 7 years since kindergarten
Nugget has continued to have a crush on Lily throughout elementary and through the first two years of middle school. Lily, on the other hand, has barely noticed Nugget since a Tuesday 7 years ago. It's the first day of 7th grade.
The two end up in the same homeroom. Nugget hasn't exactly gotten normal since then. He can't help it. He also isn't exactly liked at their new school. He gets picked on a lot, same with Lily. She hasn't changed much. Cindy is still a bully to her. It hasn't changed. Nugget wants something to change. Between them at least.
