You know that shy, 'quirky' girl that falls for the bad boy, throws away her glasses and becomes a supermodel overnight.

You also know the 'Mean Girl' that makes it her life's goal to destroy that sweet, innocent girl's life. You know her, and you hate her.

Why wouldn't you? After all, she's just a fake barbie with perfect eyebrows and the perfect life.

But what if, underneath all the makeup, the bullying, and the catfights, what if there is just another girl who wants to survive in this world, who has her own insecurities, her own mistakes, and her own dreams, waiting for her voice to be heard.

*gasp* *whispers* What if she's a human?!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

She walks in school covered by a mask. The mask is hot, popular and mean. The girl supporting the mask really just wants to run home and read a book, hiding under a blanket. Hiding from her fake reality.

Every morning she wakes up and puts the mask over her blemished face, over her teary eyes, over her bruised heart. She's not perfect, "but they don't know that", she thinks.

"Maybe if I fake it, someday I'll make it", is her thinking. "Maybe if I pretend to be perfect, one day I will be. One day I won't have to cover my true self with a mask just to fit in."
