When Jalia wakes up to her screaming neighbors in a flame engulfed house, she knows something is seriously wrong. 

   As she rushes out of her house with her brother, she finds out just how wrong. 

Her whole city is engulfed in flames, and time for survival is running out.

    In the course of three days, Jalia and her brother Parker lose and gain more then they can imagine. 

   As they struggle to survive the Great Chicago Fire of 1871 they grow closer and learn the true meaning of family, and what is truly important in life.
