Dan has ADHD. He has anxiety. His brain just doesn't cooperate, in short. It doesn't listen, the constant stream of thoughts overwhelm him and he's left to try and sift through them and try to make sense. He doesn't have any friends, and carries around a notebook.
He's lonely.
Then a random note on his first day of sophomore year- his worst yet- is taped to his notebook. It's only signed with initials, PML. Who are they? Why do they care?
Dan wants to find out.
