Alice Yankee is a seventeen year-old girl with too big of an imagination, too big of heart, and too big of an agenda as this summer, she's set out for the city of angels for a journaling internship at the prestigous magazine company, 'Sassy.'

Living at her uncle's beach house she's got a car in the frontyard and a beach in the back. She's welcome to spend her days strutting down the streets of Hollywood or relaxing on the sand (not without a very generous amount of sunscreen of course). Infatuated with this new lifestyle, she's planning on letting nothing and no one making it anything less than a "perfect" fantasy.

Except maybe the fact that they lost her luggage. Or maybe the incredibly hot air that makes her hair frizz out? Or maybe even the intriguing next-door nieghboor who smells alot like cigarettes but treats her to strawberry ice cream everyday at noon.
