Every child at some point of their life has thought there was a monster under their bed. I know I have. Parents are there to tell you it isn't true. That is a lie.
The night when I was laying in my bed. Eyes wide. The window cracked open. Suddenly my curtains were blowing wildly and you could hear the wind hissing into my room. I uneasily pulled my covers up to the point where they were over my nose and it was hard to breathe. When I slowly turned my head over to the window I froze. There was something hitting against it. I submerged my entire head under blankets.
Hesitantly I peeked through. Just a branch, George. Just a branch. I closed my eyes hoping it would magically turn to morning, but sadly that did not happen. As I tightly squeezed my eyes shut, I felt my bed lift up. I rolled to the side and hit the wall. My heart was pounding so fast. When I saw what was lifting my bed, I tried to scream, but nothing came out of my mouth. A green bumpy hand grabbed my arm and pulled me onto the floor with a large thud. I dropped my teddy and was pulled underneath the bed into the midst of darkness. The only light I saw from under the bed was my teddy laying on the floor. I reached my hand out to grab him but it was too late. I was pulled into the darkness.
