In times of war

I was minding my own business, delivering the bread from the local bakery, making rounds at my own sweet pace when she came out of nowhere. I was pretty sure I saw the curb which was quite deserted before I rode my cycle by it but before I even got a chance to cross it, I realized I was hitting a figure engulfed in a red cloak. Holy shit I had hit little red riding hood.

“Are you blind or just thought my cloak was a target?!” she screamed at me getting off the floor and dusting the sand off her red cloak.

“I’m…I’m so sorry. I didn’t see you come...I though the place was empty...You came out of nowhere,” I stammered still quite in shock. Where on Earth had she popped out from?

“Yea, now I’m pretty sure it’s the first one. What’s a blind kid doing riding a bike anyway?”

In Times of War is a story about a family stuck in a war zone. With his father dead, Moe has to make sure is family is okay, sneak them out of this war zone and make sure his family is okay, all the while hoping his love for Sarah takes him somewhere. She's the most beautiful girl he'd ever laid eyes on and amongst bombs and gun fire, it's all he can do to make sure everything goes alright.
