Nine Eleven time of sorrows

A man is hit in the terrorist attack of nine eleven. His wife is stuck crying with their two children wishing they had their father, husband, companion, and friend. He was sent to a hospital across the country to live. When he wakes up he knows nothing about his life. The only connection he has with his life is a wedding ring that has his loved one's name engraved and the year of marriage. Or at least that's what he thinks it is.
