Meg is a fifteen year old who was just ripped from her home and moved to Maine. Her brother and father haven't been the same since her mom died three years ago. But her family's strange behavior is the least of her worries.

They send her to live with her estranged uncle Thomas in London, whose odd views cause the two to connect.
