A thunking sound permeated through the hallway as a young man dragged himself to the far end of the hallway.

He sighed and coughed along the way, wiping off his sweat with his rumpled shirt. His hair stuck out at odd angles with a few patches shorn inches too short.

He looked down at his chest and put a hand to the left side of his ribcage, wincing at the pain he felt. He continued to trudge on to the room at the far end, head held low and muttering along as if in a trance.

"I... am Morgan Avery... Sole child... Of the Avery Family..." Each breath he took seared a deeper pain in his ribs, each step weighed more than the last. At last, he reached the room.

He then sighed heavily, face flushing into a deep red... And pushed the doors open to the infirmary, bustling with activity as various women carried trays of colorful liquids in little bottles to people sitting in the reception area.

One of the younger women sitting on a bench near the door smiled, tapped his elbow, and asked, "Hey, did Monty hand you your ass?"

Morgan nodded, looking around at the sights in front of him.

"What you lookin' for?" The same girl asked,

"Err... Montgomery told me to look for the stig marks..."

The woman's eyes widened at his statement, and motioned for the girl at the reception desk. "You could've made it so much easier... You're Morgan Avery right? Don't bother, hey! This guy has to get to S-340!"

One of the women in a standard nurse uniform approached them, hands still in gloves after handling a tray of the colorful bottles, and nodded at Morgan before she stalked off.

Morgan took a few steps before looking back and asking, "Can you at least tell me your name? I'd like to thank you properly."

"Don't bother."

"Alright, see you later Miss Bother."

The woman shot him a deadpan gaze as he turned to follow. She smirked and whispered, "Kid's got a brain alright."

She traced small circles on my chest. Her breath tickled my skin reminding me how close her lips were. I sighed in content. "I'm sorry," she whispered and I sat up confused. She moved away from me creating distance that I found myself detesting. "Whatever for?" I asked and a small blush appeared on her adorable face. "I can't give what the others can, Cole," her face fell and I sighed, "You are a very physical person and I know that. The whole school knows that...I just... I can't, I am so sorry," My heart clenched. "I want you to know that," she continued, "so that if it's a deal breaker for you..." She paused turning away completely and standing up leaving me alone on the mat she had laid out for us. We were in the library, second floor during free period. Then she started to walk towards the stairs not even sparing me a glance. I shot to my feet, fumbling with the buttons on my shirt, "Julia, dammit wait a second, will ya?" I pleaded and she stopped, her hand holding the door knob so tight her knuckles turned white. "It's not a deal breaker," I sighed surprising both myself and her too. Then she turned uncertain and stared at me in question. "Cole, I am offering you a clean way out, you know that," she stated very articulately, she sounded like she was scolding me, "take it and let's remember this when it was good." "I don't care, Jules." I said walking toward her, "with you, there is no deal breaker, whether you blow me off to study, which you do quite a lot by the way," she chuckled and I swooped in gathering her in my arms feeling every curve the way I liked. "Or fall asleep talking to me on the phone," I placed a kiss on her nose and her blush rose higher, "There is no deal breaker with you,"

ON INDEFINITE HIATUS 《■ □ ■ □》 Six. That was the number of months that had passed since Noah came to Saint Freya as a Valkyrie. He had no memories of his past. He was found in an abandoned laboratory with nothing to call his own but his name. All he had was an internal drive, a single command to fight for the future of humanity, and a gift. He was given a natural Stigmata--the mark of those who can fight against the Honkai without succumbing to the unique form of radiation that nature's envoy employs along with summoning a host of inorganic monsters and natural disasters into the world. He had already passed A-rank and could finish college-level exams with ease, but he could not work with others. He had already been sent to quite a few subjugations for high-level threats. He was sure that only a life of fighting solo had awaited him. That was until he was transferred to the Fifth platoon under the wing of Lieutenant Commander Murata Himeko, where he met Kiana, Mei, Bronya, and so many others that allowed him to feel...human. He found himself longing for more of the leisurely days, but as fate would have it, the very people who changed his life were destined to be the center of a storm. -------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: This is a work of fanfiction. Honkai Impact 3 and its elements apart from my original work belong to MiHoYo. Just know that some things here will be my headcanon, as well as original elements. Cover c/o canva.com, but I got the Schicksal logo from google. I also made a variant that was my art, but this looks better. I might change several things later on, just like this synopsis or Tank-type to Chariot Beast. So in the meantime, please enjoy it.

A few snippets so far: I felt naked in front of him. He's stripped me bare, pulled back my flesh, cracked open my rib cage to literally have my heart in his hands. He has the power to finish me off with one forceful squeeze or help hold all the pieces together while I work on mending and healing it. **** I take this time to breathe in the stale peacefulness of the room and wait for my body to properly wake up to get started with another day. My thoughts are soon abruptly stopped when I hear heavy breathing next to me, then I can feel the rise and fall of someone's chest and the heaviness of something wrapped around my torso. The imaginary glue in my eyes disappears as they open in a flash. To my utter disbelief and confusion, I find Harry sleeping...in my bed...with me. What, when how...what in the world is happening?! My internal panic worsens when I realize if he's here he saw the broken glass and blood in the room. FUCKING HELL! "Don't freak out, don't freak out," I talk out loud to myself but it's not fucking working. **** Last fucking chance to tell me I'm wrong and you're not hoeing around then sleep in my bed!" I say as harshly as I can. She doesn't say anything, doesn't even bat an eye at what I said. I pick up her phone on my nightstand and throw it at the closed door and watch her body tense up in anger. Her fists are white from how tightly she is clamping her fingers in her palm and her jaw is clenched. "You said it yourself, we're just friends. Friends don't act jealous like this," she quietly speaks. "I am not jealous; I couldn't give a fuck less. Have nothing to be jealous of." She takes a step back like I hit her, I can see her shattering right in front of me. "You know your way out. Get the fuck out of my apartment now," she walks over to grab her phone that bounced off the wall and walks out, she stops before she closes the door all the way.

BOOK #1 in The Fire series TRIGGER WARNING IN SOME CHAPTERS He leans closer, keeping me pinned against the wall with his hands on either side of my head. I glanced at both of them before holding his glare with my own. He was giving me a cold stare, caging me in like an animal. I bit my lip, trying to hold it back. I was never good in situations like these. He stopped leaning forward when his face was just inches from mine. He was trying to make me uncomfortable. Trying to scare me, but he didn't. I wasn't scared of him. I didn't hide my face or get nervous... I just bit my lip harder, trying to hold it in. It would just make things worse for me, I bet. He kept his eyes on mine as I glanced at his friend behind him with his arms crossed and a bored expression on his face. I looked back at the man in front of me. "You shouldn't act that way around me." He says coldly. "I can have you dead right-" I couldn't hold it in. I started laughing. He leans back, shocked, but his face goes into a glare as soon as his friend behind him perks up, watching, interested now. I calm down a little. "I'm sorry." I say, catching my breath. "Continue, Continue." He watched me closely before leaning closer to me again. "I can have you killed-" Suddenly, I lost it again, laughing harder, bending a little to hold my stomach. He punched the wall in an effort to scare me but instead made me laugh even harder, falling to the ground and rolling on my side. Soon I had his friend laughing with me as the man in front of me glared at both of us. "Don't give me that look. She's the one who started laughing." His friend said, wheezing a little bit and trying to stop laughing. I calmed down a bit, standing up to face them, a smile on my face. "Now, if you're done threatening me," I raise an eyebrow. "Or at least trying to. I'll be on my way." With that, I grabbed my backpack, turned my back to them, and walked away.

The day had started as usual, with the promise of a calm and uneventful Sunday. The office was quieter than usual, the hum of computers and the occasional phone call creating a serene backdrop. I had taken a moment to escape the confines of my cubicle and retreat to the restroom, seeking a brief respite fbefore the meeeting. That's when she barged in, her voice a sharp contrast to the tranquillity. The familiarity of her presence was like a shock to my system, bringing with it a wave of memories. The last time I saw her, it was under very different circumstances. I watched as she fumbled with her bag, clearly agitated. Her long, silky hair was the same, cascading down her back like a waterfall. It was a sight that stirred something deep within me. I remembered how that hair used to brush against my skin, a sensation both comforting and thrilling. "Ma'am, I believe this is the men's toilet," I said, trying to keep my voice steady as I washed my hands. I could see the water on the floor, a hazard waiting to happen. "Is it? Who cares? I just need to wash my hands," she mumbled, not even looking up. "You should be careful with your heels. The floor is slippery," I warned. Just as I spoke, she turned towards me, her heel skidding on the wet tile. Instinct took over, and I reached out, grabbing her waist to prevent her from falling. For a moment, time seemed to freeze. Her hair fell over her face, and the scent of her perfume filled the air. It was a heady mix of familiarity and something new, something that spoke of changes and time passed. She quickly composed herself, standing up straight and fixing her hair and shirt. When she finally looked at me, her eyes widened in recognition. "You?" she asked, her voice a mix of fury and surprise. "You?" I echoed, equally taken aback.

Elena's cute brown curls bounced as she moved, and her big brown eyes shone as they looked from me to Jack. "Mama, who's he?" She asked me, her tinkly little voice ringing in my ears. "He's a friend of Mama's; why don't you go into the kitchen and wait for me, baby?" I asked her as I stroked her hair, and she looked suspiciously at Jack before nodding. She walked away slowly, eyeing Jack as she did. "You have a daughter?" He asked me again, and I looked into his eyes, trying to gauge his feelings on this matter. "Is it so bad if I do?" I asked, standing with my hands on my hips. "No, I hope to get to know her when you're ready." He said, and I blinked, a little astonished that he would be so cool with me having a child.
