Earth, 2020. Population: 4.4 billion Humans, 1.2 billions Zombies, 357 Aliens and one entirely conscious little computer with very big plans.

Our planet, as we know it, is in pieces. Billions have perished, millions more are refugees on American soil and somebody broke Facebook.

In Antarctica, Alien Derek and his team set out on a mission with seemingly simple orders: get back to Yorkshire, fix the broken spaceship, collect the rest of the colonists and leave this planet once and for all. Simple, that is, aside from... well, reality.

They must first cross an abandoned Africa controlled by the little computer, where even nature itself has been hacked. Europe lies awash with a billion intellectually-frustrated Zombies on a desperate quest to rediscover their former humanity.

Then there are the Humans, with a penchant for getting in the way and making things messy. America is on the brink and the displaced European Royals are eager to raise a force to reclaim their stolen homelands.

Ten thousand terrifying miles sit between the Antarctic alien colony and the ship in Scarborough high street. The survival of all of the colonists depends on Derek's success.

Around the globe, weird armies are massing, inexplicable forces are flowing through the undead and nature is behaving oddly. Derek is about to discover that a lot can go wrong in 10,000 miles...

Megan had been with her mother every step of the way since everything turned to chaos, beginning just a year before, and now she was nowhere to be seen. And on top of that, she had the zeds to deal with. Ghastly creatures that used to be human, carrying a virus that's spread through a constant hunger for flesh from the host, spreading through bites and scratches. It didn't exactly make it easy to prevent getting infected. Things could have been worse, though, Megan thought. She could've been left all alone to ponder over her thoughts and fear over the future. It'll only be within the time spent with the new group will she find out that everything's not as happy and welcoming as it had seemed. These people had a few secrets of their own, including the real reason they took Megan in. In the words of a great philosopher; there is no limit to the gruesome and grotesque things we are willing to do in the name of survival. While reading this; Remember that not everything is as it seems. Remember that loved characters will die. Remember that the world will gradually get worse as the parts go on. Take a moment to ask yourselves these questions: What would you do in the name of survival? Would you steal to survive? Would you kill to survive? Would you lose your mind to survive? If you lost your mind, do you think you'd kill more, steal, injure, backstab, rape or any other atrocity you can think of? If you can think of it, then maybe you would. The characters and situations in this book are very real, if gore or horrific mental images scare you, then I wouldn't recommend reading far. DESCRIPTION: The Infection claimed the lives of over 3 billion people before the TV's went off. But it would claim many more. The problem didn't arise when those people got up and started walking again, or even when they started eating and infecting others, it began when people got desperate. In this new world, the true evil that humans are capable of gradually becomes more apparent, and a part of everyday life. Normality doesn't exist, people don't help other people. Friends aren't a thing anymore. All anyone truly has is themselves, and the burdens they carry.
