This is a story of a girl who was granted a once in a lifetime gift, though this gift has its consequences that will change the lives of whomever crosses her path.This all started 8 years ago I was 9 at the Douglassville fair where mama would take us to see the fireworks , that was my favorite part of the night, and socialize with the other mothers. Father's work takes him traveling all over the country so he couldn't go with us at the time. Jenna dragged me on all her favorite rights while the sent of the food stands strangled my stomach.

When I don't sit, she says, "If you want to know what's going on, then sit." I think about it for a moment. She hasn't hurt me yet, and I have to admit, I am quite curious as to what's going on. Have you ever met someone who alters the course of your life? For good or for bad, they've come in, given and taken, and then- BOOM! Your life was never the same. I think that's why we're still trying so desperately to get back to some sort of normalcy. Four years later and we're still on the ground, crawling, in search of the happiness that was lost that June. Summers will never be the same. Midnight walks through my neighborhood will never be the same. Field parties with bonfires and loud music will never be the same. I still don't know why you left and what lead you to the decision you made. What I do know is that we're here. We're alive and we're pushing forward to the future. A future that you're not a part of.
