The royal guardians guard the way out, but also the way in. And there is a barrier which only the Laywood leader's relatives can cross.

She's sixteen and she has never left the woods. The king thinks that magic doesn't work in Laywood. But there's one secret place- the Harlow's glade, where magic works but the king doesn't know that. Harper has been learning to use magic since she was a child. But only at this place. Only the magic of the Laywood leader's relatives works here. Harper is a brave young girl with a good heart, big dreams and an excitement for adventure. She dreams of seeing the world out there. How much she wishes she could....
