When a distant cousin of the Swan family is forced to move to Forks, WA due to tragic circumstances, who is going to be able to understand her, and why she seems so closed off? Charlie can't help but want to assist her but doesn't know how. Bella wants her cousin to talk about what happened and doesn't understand why she can't without going into a spiral, or lashing out.
The only people who seem to understand what she's going through are the strange Cullen family, who appeared out of nowhere during a panic attack on her first day in Forks.

At the age of 18 she finally has the chance to leave. So she runs, and runs, and runs. And she comes across a police car.
