The worlds pretty normal: the same as ours in real life. Except, if you know the right people, and you're rich enough to buy them or sneaky enough to steal them, there are highly technological devices available. They can do things like create forcefields, open locked doors, create EMP blasts, etcetera. Since most of them cost thousands, hundreds of thousands, millions or in one devices case billions of dollars, they are extremely rare. But most police forces are equipped with basic devices. In this story, we meet a mysterious man who manages to steal the most advanced tech in the world, and how his story intertwines with our main character, Kyle Wright, a 15 year old kid who doesn't care about the world, and is just looking for excitement.
This is a book I am working on, and depending on my mood, ideas and speed, this story will be completed in a week, a few weeks, a month or even more than a month.
This is the first of The Cypher Chronicle series.

I dare to ask. He sits back at the wall staring at me. He runs his eyes down my body and slowly smirks. "Yes," "Good," I say digging my fork into the pasta. I then place the pasta into the carrots... Playing with my food. I have been scolded for this many times when I was back in the Ordinary world. Now there is no one to do that for me. New Mars Academy: The Four Keys
School leaver Dylan's life appears to be going nowhere. Working and gaming all summer really is as dull as it sounds. That is until everything changes when a UFO crashes into his house. Stupidly, he tries to pilot the bashed up UFO. With some daring manoeuvres, he successfully outruns the space police for a while. But within minutes of learning how to land, he's quickly arrested. With their amnesiator not working, the police take him to the post-dystopian human-inhabited planet known as New Mars. Of course New Mars with it's alien technology, it's people, it's creatures and everything else about it shouldn't exist. Highly impressed with Dylan's flying skills, the president of New Mars offers to release him and his friend Zac into the New Mars Academy. OK, it's not the most prestigious place to study but it's far better then having their memories erased before being dumped back on Earth. They're soon befriended by fellow misfits including mayhem making ladette and talented hacker 'mischievous' Maya, disturbed and angry girl 'crazy' Daisy with her dark mysterious past and likeable conspiracy theorist 'loony' Lauren. Together they must fight the return of the evil dictatorship before it can wreck the re-emerging New Martian society. In the year 2088, there exists a city known as Cyberlantis which is full of beautiful bright lights and incredible technology. One day, Ryan is hanging out after school with his close friends, when a mysterious object falls from the sky, and crash lands nearby. They go to investigate, only to find that the mysterious object is a dark astronaut's that is possessed by an alien lifeform. The helmet then forces itself onto Ryan's head, giving him strange superpowers that are truly out of this world. The group of friends, led by their new alien companion, embark on an exciting journey around the futuristic city of Cyberlantis, making new friends along the way and discovering some of the city's secrets from years passed by. However, throughout their adventure, the five friends cant help but feel that somebody is watching their every move... Originally, I created this book for my graphic art A level course, and since then I have expanded it into a two part series, both featuring hand drawn illustrations by me. The illustrations get much better in quality as the story goes along as my digital drawing skills grew overtime as I wrote the story.Complete

But she's not the only one, there are nine others supposed to be besides her; two of which never made it past their mother's womb and one who's incompatible. What makes them special, is also what makes them dangerous. Ripped from their normal, day-to-day,school life, family and friends with no warning, they find out who they are. And why they're alive. But fitting back into that normal life they missed so much is proving to be hard. Especially for Maya, who has a tendency to get herself in trouble and extraordinary situations ENTIRELY her fault. (She'd rather die than admit that of course) Old life brings the problem of boys, unwanted advances, homework, teachers and of course, a boyfriend with she had a rather uncharacteristic meet-up. Scott, Sed, Andy are her childhood friends all the way with her in this. Almost all the way. They didn't expect her to change or to come back at all and they are having a HARD time adjusting to the new Maya. She's dangerous, she's hot and she knows it. She has done a lot in the past two years that will catch up to her and stuff after that which refuses to stay hidden. Controlling CEOs, sensitive boyfriend, an obssessed boss is just the tip of the iceberg. And I'm not even touching the problems at her school. Will all this unwanted attention put her in trouble?
