And I'm going to protect you like you were my own fucking sister, or even daughter!' He looks straight into my eyes, and it's a shock to see a tear fall down his soft cheek. He's crying for me... 'So, you don't need to be scared anymore. I'll catch you if you fall, Misty.' He tightens his grip around my hand, refusing to break the strong gaze between us. He smiles sadly, 'You don't have to struggle anymore, kid.' (Mature cause swearing and younger readers may find some scenes upsetting)
