Just when things seem to turn around, another player in the game shows their hand. Will the group fracture or pull together in the face of this foe? This is my first piece of fanfiction, so all comments appreciated. I'm a novelist, so I tend toward the slow burn style. I build up instead of dropping off into the plot. This starts in Season 2 somewhere, as I'm just catching up on that. If folks are enjoying the direction of this, I'll keep adding chapters.

Kara Danvers was forced to transfer from Midvale High where she lived with her sister who is in her second year in college. Kara goes to William McKinley High School where she liked this boy all year and finally was getting close to him through Glee Club but when she was attacked during Sectionals, she has tried to make up for them losing, but nothing has worked. Kara was the first friend Lena made when she got there, but it all gets complicated when Lena starts seeing Kara in a certain way. But Kara likes someone else, or does she? **Kara has superpowers, takes place in senior year of high school.** (In glee, Marley is shown to have an Eating Disorder but for the storylines to match up here in this story, I thought that I should make it be explained by using Kryptonite and will be further explained in the story. It felt right, but please let me know if I need to change it and I will fix it.)

She's to take care of their youngest daughter Lena, who's been forced to move back in with her mother after a devastating explosion at her job, causing multiple fatalities and her brother's incarceration, nearly killed her too. That's been a year ago and physically, Lena is fine, but she has a severe depression and needs someone to look after her. That's where Kara comes in. During her time with the Luthor's she slowly finds out there's a little more going on, though. (Trigger warnings for: implied/referenced self harm, homophobia, mention of eating disorder, abuse, grief/mourning, survivor guilt and panic attacks)
