Protagonist Highschool

All good stories have a main character or group. But where do these people go to become good at what they do? Pulling logic out of no where? Destroying most of what we already know of the story? and above all how to force in stupid unneeded side plots that take away from the main action? Well. Your reading the wrong book. THIS book is about a girl who.... well definitely isnt protagonist material but. You know. All stories have to start somewhere I guess.
