When the merger happens it's not just the name that changes, Seattle Grace Hospital becomes the new, and somewhat improved, Seattle Grace Mercy West. The lives of the grace doctors change irrevocably with the intruding newbies; some are loved and some are hated, but all make an impact on their dark and twisty lives. The brunette that goes by the name of Phoebe March is among the newcomers. Her dazzlingly sarcastic, blunt and selectively caring presence upturns the lives of the hospital inhabitants. The mercy westers take on their new challenge scalpels first. But when their oaths of "do no harm" fail them and tragedy strikes, Phoebe clings to her remaining loved ones more than ever. The Adamson twins-Reed and Charlotte-were inseparable. Some joked they were attached at the hip. Reed was Charlotte's protector. She was there for her sister through thick and thin. Charlotte depended on Reed, so when Reed wanted to pursue a career in medicine, Reed's dream became Charlotte's. They stuck together through college, medical school and their internship at Mercy West Medical Center. When a merger with Seattle Grace occurs, the sisters are forced to uproot their routines and form new bonds. Charlotte is forced to learn to be independent. sonder - n. the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own
