"I don't understand why you won't just leave me alone," Margaret snapped at him and wrenched her hand out of his reach. She seemed surprised at his sudden expression of hurt and hesitated.

Without given a reason to believe otherwise, Margaret Lewis comes to the conclusion that love does not exist.
