I took a step closer to him, slowly "Hey -" he took a step back from me.

I gulped and took a step closer, his warning ignored.  "I'm not going to hurt you"

"but I might hurt you" he was backed to the wall now and I stopped. 

We locked eyes for a moment, and I thought I saw a dark red hue in his eyes.  As soon as I saw it though, it was gone.  Assuming it was the light, I sighed. "look, I'm not saying you have to be my friend... I'm just saying that you looked like you could use one, and if you need anyone to talk to, I'm here for you."

I stared at him for a few more seconds before walking away and heading home.All Rights Reserved
