Long ago, the most formidable races on earth waged war against one another in a valiant struggle against evil. The honorable Kalopine, who were fighting in vain to protect the humans against the depraved Luvine who wished to enslave them, imprisoned the Luvine and locked them away inside a crystal orb enchanted with deadly sorcery. Despite this apparent victory, the Kalopine had virtually wiped themselves out, sacrificing themselves for the humans.
