There stood the hallucination she had so desperately tried to make sense of. She met his eyes only to steer her mind away from the situation. 'Ah,' Sharin thought. 'I knew they weren't blue.'
Time went slow in Sharin's perspective, leaving her to absorb every little thing about the scene. Robin took out an odd looking gun and pointed it towards her. The girl didn't even flinch. She couldn't move. It seemed that even if the world ended right there and then, the girl would still be staring into the red head's bright green eyes.

There is no other way for me to tell you this story without making some sort of cliche. That's just the way it went for this young girl. This poor girl.
You were there, too. You saw it happen, and in your own way you were the protagonist in this book as well as she.
I ask for nothing more but your undivided attention. This story, filled with wonder and pain, is a long one. Nevertheless, it will end as if by the blink of an eye.
Close your eyes, ######, and remember what you saw.

The Boy in the Gray Hoodie

45 parts Complete

I was never meant to leave that room. I had spent my whole life in there, imagining what it was like on the outside. I looked forward to the day when I would finally be allowed to leave. But that day was never supposed to come. Until James decided to keep his promise. He had always been there, on the other side of the glass. Waiting. The experiment wasn't over. He was still waiting for me to change. But I didn't change. Not until that night. It was dark, and there was rain. The sound of the car engine was loud, but the crash was louder. In the crash, I became something different. I changed. But not for James. This new part of me emerged for one reason; to save her. This story is a first draft and will contain typos and grammatical errors. I apologize for these in advance, and hope you can see beyond them to the story beneath. Happy reading!
