In 1983, Nia was an just a normal girl living life similiar to anyone else in the area near many amusement parks, carnivals, etc. Leading to anything else, she always wished every night out in the open window where many stars connected out in the open that she'd be able to step into one of the following. Every now and then, her father is mostly considered the strictest out of any members; not letting Nia grant the access to go escape, have her enjoyment.

When Michael Jackson meets Nia, he discovers the backstory within immediately witnessing how much she expresses these upsetting, dejecting and despondent emotions.

He knows that Nia was lonely and downhearted, that's why he arrived; to cure her misery.
