It has been a year for the Pevensie clan since they returned from their glorious adventures in Narnia, the magical land, where they once ruled.

After they are called back, by something that they have never felt before, they are shocked to find that everything has changed within this beloved place.

The Narnians are near extinct, the Telmarines have invaded and taken over while a young Telmarine, is the true heir, has escaped from his uncle, and is now trying to reclaim the rightful throne.

Reunited with their Protector, Silver Stormwalker, who still wears the crown among the Narnians who have survived, gladly passes it back to Peter, who would be more then happy to rule again.

Silver is torn between her loyalties to the now true heir of Narnia solely, and to her loyalties to the vow that she made over one thousand, and almost three hundred years ago, and to the four children, the true Kings and Queens of Narnia, of Cair Paravel.

Defeating the Telmarines will require all of them together but can the two rivaling boys work together or will they tear the army apart?

Will Silver be forced to intervene at a terrible cost?
