Isaac Sharman finds it difficult to move on without Alex Walker who died in his arms. It is a nightmare he relives time and again. Alex knows she must have done the right thing to let Isaac think she was dead or so her biological mother who also happened to be Isaac's mother, Lisa Sharman let her to believe. Then Olivia Ezra, Jacob Ezra's sister, the girl who tried to seduce Isaac turned out to be Alex's cousin. ************************************** Alex glanced at her watch, it was 4am. There was no way she would fall asleep again so she reached for a book on the floor next to her bed. There was nothing to do in the town. She discovered a novel in Lisa's room and after Lisa saw her reading, she retrieved a box of novels from the garage and Alex had her nose stuck in a book ever since. It was something to do, something to stop her from thinking too much, something she came to like doing passing the days. It made her wonder how many days she had to pass like that and if that was all she would ever do. Lisa did propose she should go to college the following year but then she would risk seeing Isaac and Jacob. Alex opened the book and lay down on her bed reading until the sun came up. She got up heading for the kitchen. She took a glass and poured it half cranberry juice and half blood. Suddenly she startled upon hearing a knock on the door. The next moment Lisa rushed to the door and unlocked it. She threw her arms around a girl and hugged her. "Thank goodness you made it" she exhaled relieved "You have no licence and you stole a car" "Borrowed" the girl replied and Alex recognised the voice. She stepped closer and Lisa let the girl go. "Its about time you showed up here cousin" Olivia said and smiled as she looked at Alex. Alex gripped her hands tighter around the glass she was holding. Her eyes widened and her lips parted.

FOR THE DETAILED DESCRIPTION, READ PROLOGUE. As the description was too lengthy. i couldn't write it here. :) _______________________________ "Sera, I am not the one to repeat my words. So you better say yes in front of the whole kingdom when I ask you to mark me," Damien said, glaring at me. "Never," I spat. "I will never mark you, you fucking hybrid," I said with all the anger inside me. "Then you leave me no choice," he said as his eye color shifted from hazel to a deep crimson red. His vampire side had taken over. He took a step closer, and my heart started pounding in my chest. I knew exactly what was going to happen next. This time, it was his vampire side. Last time, it was his wolf. Each time I resisted him, he hurt me, made me regret it. And now I knew he was going to compel me, force the answer he wanted out of me. I quickly shut my eyes tightly so he couldn't use his power against me. There was no point in running, I was already injured, already weak. A cold, dark laugh filled the room, sending a shiver down my spine. "My, my, look how afraid you are, my Sera," he mocked. I could feel him getting closer, his presence suffocating. Suddenly, he yanked my hair back, hard. I screamed in pain, but I refused to open my eyes. "Be my good girl and open your eyes, Seraphina," he commanded, his voice low and dangerous. "Never," I growled in defiance. I couldn't believe the Moon Goddess had mated me to this monster. I despised him. Every inch of my soul hated him. "Give me all the pain you want, but I will never obey you," I spat, my voice filled with hatred. He chuckled darkly. "Then, as you wish," he murmured. I barely had time to process his words before sharp pain pierced my neck. His fangs sank into my flesh with full force, tearing through my skin. I let out a blood-curdling scream as agony burned through me. My eyes snapped open involuntarily, locking onto his, and in that moment, I realized I had made a terrible mistake.
