Lily is happy with her life. She has a unique family that she can rely on as well as four great friends who support her - and vice versa. She doesn't mind school, loves to play soccer in her spare time and cannot say no to sweets.

For as long as she can remember, it has always been just her and her brothers. There are no parents in the picture. The 12-year-old has never bothered to find out what actually happened to them and she has never even met them. Her oldest brother is her and the other minors' guardian. This is how it has always been, and Lily likes it that way.

However, something seems to be changing. Three of her brothers suddenly move back home, or at least make plans to do so. The older ones start to act secretive and they appear more preoccupied than usual. Certain things don't add up anymore. Lily's curiosity is piqued. What is going on with her family? What are her oldest brothers hiding from her? Have they been lying to her? Who are her parents? And where are they?

Join Lily on a journey that will turn her life upside down and that will put everything into a new perspective, as things slowly start to unravel.

Growing up to be fifteen years old in her mothers reckless care, Giulia had been through what most girls her age haven't. From drug runs to police raids, Giulia's mother ruined Giulia's one chance at a normal childhood. One night when her mother goes missing, Giulia's whole life changes... again. Will being under the guardianship of her new older brothers give her a chance at normalcy in her life or will they cause even more mess than before? ☆ ☆ ☆ As I lied there in the hospital bed with a pounding headache, barely even conscious, I heard a familiar, raspy voice that sounded as though they haven't slept. "Nessuno oserà toccarti di nuovo senza perdere le mani mia cara." I felt two hands hold my cheeks and a soft kiss on my forehead. The covers over me shuffled as the familiar person wrapped me in them. (𝐍𝐨 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐦𝐢𝐚 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐚.) Simply the presence of them reassured me as I felt myself drift off into a deep sleep. ☆ ☆ ☆ 𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐄 (noun): a state of being pleasantly lost in one's thoughts; a daydream.
