For as long as young Joshua could remember, he wanted to be a hero like his father before him. Abram, an ex monk of the mystical order of Sheng Hou, had survived the Endless War and wants nothing more then to spare Joshua the life he has led.
The would-be-hero's life is changed forever when he finds himself stalked by a supernatural being behind his house. Joshua and the being known as Kita form an inseparable bond that Abram uses to temper his son's fiery zeal with the newcomer's wild but carefree nature. Together they seek to find one's place in a world ruled by tradition as much as steel and sorcery.
