Though her boyfriend Max is the best, her best friend John'll always be better in her opinion. It's no wonder Marissa decides to wish upon a shooting star to make her wish of being with the guy she loves finally come true. But after some heartbreaking and weird things start to happen and a new boy named Darren shows up who seems hell bent on getting on her last nerve she starts to assume the star's twinkle just isn't seeming so bright anymore.
