It was just another day for most, though, not for her. She walked around the corner and to her street. Her black tipped fingers reached out beside her, it was a habit. The silly girl retracted her hand and put it in her pocket. The hope that she'd look beside her, and see what she wanted, dragged her eyes to the right.

Wren's life is about to change forever - but not how she expects it to. Kidnapped on her wedding day, she finds herself trapped in a mountain cave, unable to return home with no company outside of the inhuman creature that took her. *** "Wait, Wren! Not that way!" It was darker here and panic limited her vision, but she could see it reaching for her; its wings like two huge looming shadows behind it. "Get away! Don't touch me! No, let me go!" She shrieked. She screamed in earnest as a hand took hold of her arm, and then even more when her own hand reached for something to hang onto and grasped at empty air. She had been scrambling towards a sudden drop! The hands hauled her back, but she still struggled. She didn't want to look at it, and she still wasn't sure she wouldn't rather take her chances with the open air instead. "Stop it, I'm not going to hurt you! You'll hit your head on the rock or something. Wren, please!" It knew her name. Somehow it knew her. She was going to die! "Let me go! Stop touching me!" She was sitting on the rocky floor now with her back against an uneven wall, and it was trying to pin her down and hold her still. She kept her eyes turned away and struggled helplessly, but it was no use. It was strong like a human man too, and she couldn't keep it off of her. The wings had moved until they curved around them both and shut out a lot of the light. Its face was so near hers that she could feel its breath brushing against her skin. "Please just look at me for a second. Just look. I'm not going to hurt you." One of the hands grabbed her chin and forced her head to turn, and then she was looking straight into a pair of dark brown eyes. It had a human face too. She had been expecting something monstrous or ghastly, and the surprise made her falter for a moment. He looked young, with a bad haircut and an earnest expression on his face. "I'll let go of you, okay? Just don't lunge around like that anymore, you'll get hurt." He whispered.Concluida

"I do. I do believe you." He cuts me off. "I'm sorry for accusing you I just, I don't know. At the time I thought it made sense." "Don't apologise. I deserved your outburst guilty or not. As they were driving home around one in the morning, Jewel suddenly reached for Maze's hand. "Maze... let's not go home yet. Let's go somewhere." Maze glanced at her. "But it's past midnight, Jewel. Everything's closed." Jewel let go of her hand and looked away, disappointed, staring out the window. They continued in silence. But instead of taking the usual route home, Maze veered toward the freeway. She rolled down the windows, letting the cool night air rush in. Jewel looked at her, a small smile forming. She turned up the radio and stretched her hand out into the wind. It became one of those drives-quiet, wordless, and full of meaning. Someday - A Short Story
Life was dull, boring, and mechanical. I’ve always wondered if this would change. If something interesting will happen. I always hoped something interesting will happen. A falling meteor that would destroy half of town, an alien invasion, or even the Apocalypse. Anything, just to relieve me of this monotonous life I lead. “Urgh,” I groaned as I reached over to turn off the alarm clock that sounded like a hundred sirens in the early hours of dawn. The golden sun hasn’t come out to expel the surrounding darkness yet. I figured it would take an hour more or so for the sun to show its shining face, so I decided to eat breakfast and take a bath first. But little did I know that today was the day that my life would change. It was the day I met her. ---------- A short story. Hey guys! This is my first try writing a pure romance story. I hope you'll like it. :D This story will be rarely updated, since I'm busy with school and stuff. Almost caught by a storm, a young woman and a drone disembark in a grey wishing town by chance. Thanks to a deal made reluctantly, this story depicts their day and night in this town and a friendship which somehow blooms between them. Also, the person controlling the drone can read people's minds and it sucks quite a lot. (In the second person perspective, also please pretend the drone does not make a sound in this story's world.
