Richie and Eddie are in high school, all the losers are. High school is great and all but, Richie is falling in love with his best friend, Eds. Eddie has no idea why he feels a certain feeling for Richie. Growing up Eddie wasn't exposed to homosexuality influences which caused him to not know what his feelings are or how to handle them. He doesn't know what to do with these emotions. Being gay? In Derry? Is that something you can do? Richie knows what his feelings are, only, he's terrified. He's scared to feel this love towards Eddie. He's been taught that's it's wrong, because it is wrong, right? Or is it not wrong? Richie believes he's a freak and there's something horribly wrong with him, but why does he hate himself? These feelings, the fucking feelings.

Stan isn't out, but he'd still do anything for his close friends...well...crush. Ben is on the football team. He's shy, but he's been friends with Bev since freshman year. She'd come up to him and spoke to him in one of their shared classes one day. Since then he's had a massive crush on her. Mike doesn't talk much. He's quiet and un confrontational, but he'd Fuck someone up if they hurt Ben. Ben is like a younger brother to him even though they are the same age, and he may not be mean, but for Ben, he can be.
