"I may not remember much, but I do know that I had the best time with you last night." Charlie drops his hand from his mouth and lifts his head to stare into my eyes, pushing his hair back from his face at the same time. "And I know this is awkward now, because I'm pretty sure we were both naked together in bed last night..." I choke on air, trying to dispel the imaginary object from my throat. Charlie reaches out and lightly grasps my hand; my eyes slide from our interlocked fingers to his shining pupils. "...but I still wouldn't change a single thing about it. So, I really do look forward to hearing from you later, Kaiydeen." It's like I've been taken hostage by his electric stare. I don't want to look away. I never want to look away. The busy noises of the street and the honking of the traffic fade as I lose focus, nothing strong enough to force my attention away from this boy. Finally, Archer loudly clears his throat as he flings his door open and plops into the car with a huff, breaking the trance between the two of us. I look away as I withdraw my hand from his grasp, trying to figure out what the hell just happened. This is going to be a long 6 months. ●●● Kaiydeen has always known what she wanted, more like who, but she never knew exactly how to get it. So she's complacent with biding her time until it, actually he, comes to her; no matter how long that takes. But then one day she crashes into someone she doesn't expect. Someone that has always had an eye for her, and he isn't satisfied with biding his time until she's his. But when the one person she's always wanted admits he wants her, too, she's forced to make a choice. Should she go for the boy she just met or the boy she's always known? There is some use of mature language in this story, so if your eyes are innocent and you want them to stay that way this might not be the story for you. Credit to @slueths for the incredible cover!!

She looks up at me, taking a step forward and smiling slightly, "How can I ever get hurt when I have you here to protect me?" "But you could have gotten hurt," I murmur softly, hanging my head and feeling my shoulders drop, the tension seeping from my body. "No. Stop," She cuts me off sternly but tenderly, "Don't talk like that, Reece. I'm okay, you're okay, we're okay," She speaks softly, reaching her hand up to gently brush her thumb over my cheek, just under the cut that's there. "We're okay," I repeat, taking a small step closer to her. She nods with a small smile, moving her hand down from my cheek and instead placing the palm of her hand on my chest, right over my heart. I know she can feel how fast my heart is beating. I just don't know why it's doing that. ~ Reece Carter is the bad boy of Northwood High. He smokes and he fights.
