Morgan Lyttle has always been "broken", as they're called. "They" being those with unlocked abilities based on some strange hereditary factor. Some cable that gets plugged into one outlet or another the moment you're born.
No way to stop it.
No switch to flip; no magic button.
When you're born this way, you're stuck.

After a terroristic explosion rips Morgan's family apart, she finds a letter addressed to her and her older sister stuck in her mailbox, one of the only things not decimated by the detonation.
No name. No return address.
Just a date, a location, and, to put it simply, the words "come to me if you want to live".
