For the past three-hundred years, every child born was given a bracelet. This bracelet stretched to fit their right wrist until they were fully grown. This bracelet had a pattern carved into it. The pattern matched one other person in the world. That person is their soul mate. This is all society cares about. Soul mates. In usual cases, you find this person by the time you graduate college. Ashton Irwin, a twenty year old college student without a roommate, has a very intricate design on his bracelet. Worried he'll never find his soul mate, he has a habit of looking at every wrist he can manage without having the person notice. Luke Hemmings, a now freshman in college, doesn't seem to care about his design. In fact, Luke wears multiple band bracelets, some much larger, in order to cover his carved bracelet. Luke happens to be Ashton's new roommate.
