After being with the Diamonds a bit..  Spinel realizes it's practically no different from the garden- sure there's more gems but it's either that they're all busy or don't care about her.. When she tries to interact with the diamonds, they (unintentionally) shoo her away. So out of loneliness and just pain. She runs back to Earth where maybe- just maybe she'll find someone to care about her.
