Sa pamumuno ni Gengis at Kublai Khan ay nasakop nila ang Tsina. Itinayo nila ang imperyo ng Yuan Dynasty ngunit makalipas ang deka-dekadang pamamahala ng mga Mongol sa Tsina, isang grupo ng mga rebeldeng tsino ang nakipagdigma para bawiin ang kaharian nila at itayo muli ang monarkiya ng Tsina sa ilalim ng Ming Dynasty. Bumalik man sa kalupaan ng Mongolia ang Yuan pero patuloy pa rin ang digmaan nila sa Ming. Si Zhou Yang na prinsipe ng Ming Dynasty ay susubukin ng panahon na siyang magtatagpo ng landas nila nang prinsesa ng Goryo. Ngunit paano kung ang puso ng prinsesa ay matagal na palang nasungkit ng prinsipe ng Yuan na siyang mortal na kalaban ng kanilang kaharian? Ano ba ang dapat manaig, ang kapangyarihan ng imperyo o ang kapangyarihan ng pag-ibig?
